during the past 2 months, AXXIS was in a coma!<br />
Personal health issues have hindered my involvement in the company. This led to a decline in my financial security, eventually left me broken, and thus AXXIS fell in a coma with me!<br />
<br />
But those days are gone! I am determined to get the company back on track!<br />
<br />
The AXXIS Forum has been discontinued, as it didn't serve any significant purpose, it was infested with spammers while I was gone, and the extra load of it is something I cannot handle for now.<br />
<br />
Support will also be halted for now. I will only accept customization assignments.<br />
This is because I decided to take the big step and re-design and re-program all AXXIS products from scratch.<br />
Why? For many many reasons!<br />

<li>I plan to integrate all the products under one Framework, since all of them are using similar functionality! This will make upgrading all of them easier, all products will benefit from more new features, etc.</li>
<li>I plan to change the license of use.</li>
<li>In the future the AXXIS Framework will serve as a stand-alone community.</li>
<li>I plan to support all Joomla versions from now on. Yes, Joomla3 is included.</li>
<li>I plan to support responsive design by the use of Twitter's Bootstrap Framework, HTML5, and CSS3. This will make sure AXXIS products look best no matter the screen, be it desktop, tablet, or smart phone. This will also make sure the products follow the design of your Joomla3 template.</li>
<li>And yes, Joomla 1.5 product versions will be responsive too! Out of the box! Don't know about your template though..</li>

<br />
We spent 4 days, thoroughly scanning all our files on our site. Everything was clean. We even edited files to check this behavior from the Avira Antivirus program.<br />
<br />
It turned out, that this professional antivirus software, with all its awards, was giving a false positive! Well, ok, all antivirus programs give false positives now and then. But... but! The pattern Avira Antivirus uses to identiify the HTML/Infected.WebPage.Gen3 HTML script virus <b>is simply ridiculous!!!</b><br />
<br />
Just because they see a hidden frame on the site, they scare off people, saying this site contains a virus!<br />
This is simply put ridiculous, and a complete joke altogether! Obviously, these guys don't have any clue about web-programming techniques. Someone please fire the monkeys in the so-called Avira virus-lab! If they don't know how websites work nowadays, they better find another job; cleaning floors maybe!<br />
<br />
Their so-called "virus alert" has been costing us potential customers, and 4 days of work! Just stupid!<br />
<br />
Anyway, if <b>you</b> have been getting this stupid alert on our site, please ignore it!<br />
In fact, we have contacted Avira 3 days ago, demanding they remove our site from their... "alerts", something they said they will do, admitting their mistake.<br />

This is a feature similar to Facebook's photo-tagging, for example. A lot of social networks have a similar feature.<br />
The tagging functionality that exists already will still be available, so you can add custom tags, yourself, and even your friends in your photos, without the need to put any frames directly on the photos.<br />
Some people find these frames to be irritating... That is why they will only appear when you mouse over them, or over the name of the tagged user on the "TAGGED" list.<br />
NOTICE: Frames are positioned relative to were the photo is displayed on your site. This means that if the photo position changes (due to a new site-design for example), the frames will be displayed in a wrong position. To fix this, you can use the Tag Re-positioning option in J!Photos back-end.<br />

In this new Super Events version you have more ways to administer tickets sold/pending on your Super Events site. Now you can set the status of a ticket with just one click! Switching pending tickets to completed transactions takes you to a form where you can set the date of purchase. Upon doing this, the transaction is stored, and the eTicket is sent to the user's email address automatically.<br />
<br />
You also have the option to edit the ticket. This takes you to a form with more options, like changing the user associated with this transaction, ticket type purchased, etc.<br />
<br />
Finally, you have the option to create new tickets manually for an event! This is handy if you want to store offline purchases, or purchased that were not logged by the system (not all users allow PayPal to redirect back to your site, so the ticket information cannot be traced by the Super Events system). You can even add tickets to a user's event-cart manually, by setting the ticket(s) status to "pending".<br />
The form involved is a sophisticated piece of code, that allows you to select buyer, event, event-tickets (updated through AJAX based on event selected), ticket quantity, date of purchase, and transaction status (pending/completed). If transaction status is set to completed, then all tickets are sent automatically to the buyer's email address, the minute you click on the "Save" button. And yes, you can create more than one ticket at a time, since you can set the quantity of tickets to be created, and involve more than one ticket type, at once!<br />

And of course, in case you want to delete a ticket, now you have the handy "Delete" button for your convenience.<br />

The new version will come with two different styles of the event-details page, and with the possibility to add new user-defined styles, re-arrange the event-details sections, stylize them, etc.<br />

The whole programming code will be re-structured and it will not be compatible with previous customized SuperEvents versions. However, we will offer an upgrading service for a low fee, to those of you who already customized SuperEvents. This way, you will be able to use the new styling functionality also.<br />

IMPORTANT: You need to update also the J!Places Map plugin for changes to take effect.<br />
OPTIONAL: To get this functionality also on the J!Places Map module, please update it.<br />

* It turns out that new browser versions don't HTML5 geolocate. Because of this, J!Places now tries to HTML5 geolocate for 5 seconds, and if this fails, falls back to IP-based geolocation. IP-based geolocation gives correct results, at least on a city-level, if your Internet Provider maps IP addresses correctly. If not, you have to ask them to fix this. J!Places is working fine, and processes correctly all the data it is been given. If HTML5 geolocation is available, it uses it. As a matter of fact, all mobile devices should geolocate you exactly where you are! This has been tested on iPhones, Android phones, and Windows 7 phones. You can test that on our demo site axxis.gr/demo. If HTML5 geolocation is not available (as it is the norm on desktop devices) it falls back to IP-based geolocation. If the IP of the connected device is wrong, it is not J!Places fault.<br />
<br />
NEW GEOLOCATION:<br />
J!Places now features 3 alternative geocoding methods to choose from on the "Google Maps" tab under J!Places configuration:<br />
WipMania,<br />
IPinfoDB,<br />
and YQL/Flickr.<br />
<br />
These are alternative methods to HTML5 geocoding, which although returns best results, doesn't work most of the times on desktop devices. Mobile devices/browsers with HTML5 capabilities should work as expected.<br />
IPinfoDB seems to give best results, but feel free to test the other methods also, to see what is best for your site.<br />
<br />
We've also changed the whole procedure of how geocoding works on J!Places.<br />
First, it tries HTML5 method for 5 seconds. If this fails, it reverts to one of the alternative methods you chose. There will be a delay of 5 seconds until the user is geocoded, but that's for the best, to make sure we get the best results.<br />
<br />
If now the user is on the Check-In page, the check-in list informs him to wait until he gets geocoded. If needed, the page will reload once to get the correct coordinates.<br />
In any case, after the user coordinates are determined, the list of places where the user can check-in will be displayed.<br />
<br />
The provided alternative methods should geocode correct, at least on city-level. If not, you have to make sure your Internet Provider gives you a correctly mapped IP address.<br />

With this new version of SuperEvents, event-hosts may now sell event-tickets on your site, and they will collect payments instantly, while you will get your commission, plus the Paypal fees (2.9% of ticket price + 0.30 of event currency), at the same time automatically. You will not need to track event-sales, or transfer payments to event-hosts anymore, everything will be done automatically.<br />
It is required that both you, and the event-host have a valid PayPal business/merchant account.<br />

For starters, you will be able to "Share on Facebook" any post or activity you made anytime on SuperActivity or SuperWall.<br />
<br />
Next, we will give the option to "connect" your accounts, in order whatever you post on SuperActivity/SuperWall to be automatically posted on your Facebook wall also.<br />

Finally, we have already teamed up with TechJoomla, in order to use their Broadcast component for sharing on a number of Social Networks, and we are already working on that as we speak.<br />

I think this needs to be clarified: Submitting a support ticket is the way to go!<br />
<br />
We are already having big trouble trying to keep up with the load of emails we get every day, and while our support service is nowhere where it used to be 1 year ago (really sorry for that), the support tickets always get first priority, above emails!<br />
<br />
We are heavily undermanned at the moment, and the problem is that nobody can step in and be of any immediate help, as nobody knows our software. Some new people have been tested, most failed to qualify, and those that we've kept in the AXXIS team are still learning, and in no position to provide adequate support.<br />
<br />

Only after updating, you will be able to uninstall it completely if you want.<br />
If you don't want to uninstall it, but only to update it, make sure you <b>keep a backup</b> of the components/com_jplaces folder, as the update will overwrite any changes you made inside this folder (eg. CSS files, language files, etc.)<br />

Web Hosting Issues

We would like to apologize to our hosting clients, for some problems that may occur today, tomorrow, and on Thursday on our servers.

Server administrator is setting up a brand new Backup System, which will work much better than the previous one, but the first backups will be complete backups, and thus very stressful on our servers.
